Whether you’re in the building, infrastructure, or manufacturing sector, use Autodesk® DWF™ Composer software to reduce costs, errors, and cycle times by keeping the entire design review process digital. Only DWF Composer facilitates team communication and increases productivity with tools built specifically for reviewing, marking up, and measuring 2D and 3D designs without the original design creation software. DWF Composer provides the tools team members need to offer feedback quickly and easily, such as:
. Easy-to-use AutoCAD® DWG and DXF™ file viewing and printing with the Autodesk® DWG
. Viewer component
. Round-tripping of markups directly back into the AutoCAD® family of products and Autodesk® . Revit® products
. Comprehensive redlining and annotation tools
. New custom symbols
. New snapshot tool
. Complete sheet set organization
. Powerful status-tracking capabilities
Faster, More Efficient Collaboration and Review
Work with electronic sheet sets to streamline the review process. Even design professionals unfamiliar with CAD can easily use Autodesk DWF Composer tools to review, mark up, and revise 2D and 3D designs and communicate changes to other members of the project team. DWG Format and Autodesk Inventor File Viewing
Use the Autodesk DWG Viewer application, included with Autodesk DWF Composer, to review and plot DWG and DXF files, and then publish them as DWF™ files for quick and easy review and markup when working in Autodesk DWF Composer. Since the DWG Viewer is built on the same viewing technology as AutoCAD® 2006 software, you are assured of full drawing fidelity. The separate Autodesk Inventor® View application, also included with Autodesk DWF Composer, enables you to view and plot Autodesk Inventor files.
Only Autodesk DWF Composer supports complete round-tripping of markups, annotations, and other changes into the Autodesk Revit family of software products and the AutoCAD family of software products. Because the DWF Composer markup capabilities combine with the AutoCAD and Autodesk Revit navigation capabilities, tracking changes is easy. There’s no need to reenter information. Simply walk through all the comments on the sheet set and incorporate changes or initiate another round of reviews based on the electronic markups sent from DWF Composer.
DWF Format for Design Data
The DWF file format is well suited for sharing design information, because the file size is smaller and faster to transmit than either native design formats or widely known alternatives such as the PDF file format. DWF files are secure, read-only files that protect the original designs. And unlike JPG, TIF, or PDF files, they retain the intelligent design data of the original drawing. Members of your extended team see exactly what you intended.
Workflow and Productivity Tools
Use Autodesk DWF Composer for an expedient and successful review process. Add, delete, and reorganize DWF files and sheets, including timelines, images, specifications, and other project information, to create discipline-specific sheet sets or archives. Change review status and quickly address open issues by selecting Question, For Review, or Done in the markup properties dialog box. Use markup tools to add comments to sheet sets electronically. The Markup tab in the Drawing Set Navigator automatically records markups as you make them.
